1.
There shall be instruction
on cooking‘s conduction
if on tonight‘s menu
is something that can do
some deconstruction
to all of the venue.
2.
Your guests will be choosing
the best if they‘re boozing,
with wine in your quarter
you sound all the smarter
they‘ll be in for a starter:
some well-mannered musing.
3.
They will be expecting
what you‘re usually selecting:
bring exquisite rethorics,
allusions to historic
traits, some euphorics,
and don‘t skimp on reflecting.
4.
The taste: not obtrusive
yet somehow elusive
bring up the matter
with some gravy of chatter
so tasty on a platter
yet still inconclusive.
5.
To determine conditions
and rebut electricians
stir deep into form
refrain from all norm
claim all traditions
and let them perform.
6.
Don‘t think of ingredient
it‘s only expedient
some aura as prop
will just do the job
Bouillon Cube on top
and they‘ll be obedient.
7.
Words may taste treasonable
and images deceptive
both only reflective
of the sense they hold captive
it may not be seasonable
trying to be reasonable.
8.
But if we‘re not perceptive
we are so adaptive
we‘ll serve them appeasing
sweet wine, quite infective.
Oh no, we are not in season
to dine here on reason.
We serve, after all,
the Corrective.
